Tim Graham

Managing Director
Chief Executive Officer

Tim Graham is a public servant with a background in communications and management. He completed bachelor’s degrees in arts and commerce at Monash University in 2014, with a focus on Indonesian studies, politics and management.

Tim speaks Indonesian and is passionate about people-to-people links and youth engagement in the bilateral relationship.

Tim has been a member of the CAUSINDY team since 2013, having held volunteer roles with several other organisations including as a Director of the Australia-Indonesia Youth Association. Before joining the Australian public service, Tim managed customer support for SitePoint, a subscription website and community for web designers and developers.

Edgar Myer

After completing his BA (Hons) from The University of Melbourne, where he was a recipient of a New Generation Undergraduate Award, Edgar was invited to undertake anthropological fieldwork in Flores, Indonesia, focusing on aid and development work. This experience, which led to an academic publication (in both Indonesian and English), spawned a strong interest in Indonesia. Edgar returned to Australia to study law at The University of Sydney, taking a particular interest in Indonesian law and receiving an Asia Bound Travel Scholarship to study in Indonesia. Edgar is currently interning at a private equity firm after which he will commence as a graduate at Gilbert + Tobin. In his spare time, Edgar is an enthusiastic runner, a keen reader and passionately supports the Greater Western Sydney Giants in the AFL.

Alyssia Sastrosatomo

Chief Logistics Officer

Alyssia completed a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Melbourne, double majoring in Marketing and Business Management and was awarded the “New Generation International Undergraduate Scholarship”. During her time in Melbourne, Alyssia was active with the Indonesian Students Association of Australia (PPIA) where she was appointed as the National coordinator for merchandising and supply-chain.

Alyssia is also the current president of AIYA Jakarta and a Senior Associate at Tusk Advisory, Asia-Pacific’s leading infrastructure strategic advisory firm that provide strategic solutions to global clients and help governments, state owned enterprises (SOE) and industry to deliver transformative infrastructure assets in the region.

Alyssia was also one of the 2013 CAUSINDY delegates representing Indonesia in Canberra.

Natasha Burrows

Chief Program Officer

Natasha works as Alumni Coordinator at the United States Consulate General Sydney. Her deep affinity with Indonesia developed through research and work the country. In 2014, Natasha was a part of the Australian Volunteers for International Development program, working as Communications Officer for the Australian Consortium for ‘In-Country’ Indonesian Studies (ACICIS). In 2013 Natasha completed Honours at the Department of Government and International Relations in the University of Sydney, writing about democratisation and governance in Indonesia with a focus on flooding in Jakarta. Natasha is currently Director of Communications for the Australia Indonesia Youth Association (AIYA) , as well as studying a Masters of Communication Management at UTS.

Fletcher Miles

Fletcher has recently returned to Adelaide to complete his final year of a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of International Studies at the University of Adelaide. Previously Fletcher worked for Rocket Internet, a global start up incubator, where he worked at a Sydney based venture focusing on marketing and analytics.

From 2014-2015, Fletcher spent a year in Indonesia, completing a research thesis on micro credit in conjunction with Parahyangan Catholic University Bandung and Bamboo Micro Credit Inc, an Australian based NGO. Fletcher also undertook a semester of Indonesian language studies at Universitas Gadjah Mada in Yogyakarta where he co-founded the Australia-Indonesia Youth Association (AIYA) Yogyakarta Chapter and volunteered as a language teacher at Stichting, a local NGO.

Fletcher has previously studied in New York at Pace University Law School focusing on international law and arbitration and held positions at Fisher Jeffries (Gadens National Practice), a national commercial law firm, the Australian Taxation Office, and Westpac Banking Corporation.

Feliciana Natali Wienathan

Program Officer

Felicia is a Marketing Communication Associate of Indonesia’s largest business process outsourcing firm that specializing on aviation and travel sector – ATI Business Group. Felicia have previously worked as Marketing Communication Consultant advising for wide variety of local and multinational clients both from private and public sector.

Felicia is a degree holder of Business (Marketing) and Behavioral Studies from Monash University, where she was active as Vice President of Monash University’s Indonesian Students Association of Australia (PPIA). Upon graduation, she remains active in numerous organizations, where she facilitate a discussion held by Women of Excellence (WOE) community themed “Heroines in the digital age” that was hosted by Madam Noor Traavik and Mrs. Liliana Tanoesoedibjo. She is also one of the panelist for Indonesia’s National Scout Movement (Gerakan Pramuka) 2015 Expert and Executive Forum themed “Pramuka Digital”, and one of the 2015 CAUSINDY delegates representing Indonesia in Darwin.

Felicia remains a passionate advocate for women and youth empowerment, and looks forward to continue her contribution in cultivate and consolidating strong partnerships between Indonesia and international parties.

Jarrah Sastrawan

Program Officer

Jarrah is a Balinese-Australian who attended primary school in Bali and has lived in Sydney since. He was a CAUSINDY 2015 delegate and is now on the Programs team for CAUSINDY 2016. Jarrah is a researcher of Indonesian history and historiography, and his current work examines how time is organised in traditional historical texts. He believes that relationships between Indonesians and Australians can be enriched by a better understanding of each other’s perceptions of history, especially our shared histories.

His undergraduate studies were in English literature and Sanskrit, and he has Honours and Masters degrees in physics. He has written commentary on Indonesian politics for New Matilda. Besides the traditional historiography of Southeast Asia, his research interests include the 20th century history of Indonesia and its modern literature.

Samantha Yap

Program Officer

Samantha is a broadcast journalist and producer currently based in Singapore working for Channel NewsAsia. She produces a high-level discussion programme called Perspectives and her most recent documentary ‘A Nuclear Affair’, filmed in Jakarta, explores Indonesia’s nuclear power dream. Prior to this role she has gained journalism experience in Jakarta, Melbourne, Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur. Her work has been featured on SBS News, Australia Network, ABC News 24 and Asia Calling, Tempo TV. She’s also had work experience with Al Jazeera Network.

Samantha graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of Journalism and a Diploma of Languages (Indonesian) from Monash University. Samantha has studied Indonesian at Universitas Katolik Indonesia Atma Jaya and Universitas Gadjah Mada. She has also studied journalism on exchange at the University of Hong Kong. Samantha speaks Indonesian, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Tim Cooke

Public Affairs and Communications Officer

Tim is based in Canberra, working at the National Museum of Australia. Originally from Perth, Tim completed a Bachelor of Arts at Monash University in Melbourne, focusing on politics, Australian history and Indonesian studies. Following university, Tim worked for a leading Australian tech start-up for a number of years.

Tim’s interest in Indonesia was sparked by Western Australia’s proximity to the Southeast Asian region. He has a strong interest in developing people-to-people links between cultural institutions in Australia and Indonesia.

Sekar Langit

Recruitment Officer

Sekar works as a Business Development Manager for South East Asia at Micromine, an Australian leading provider of innovative software solutions that span the breadth of the mining cycle from geological exploration and data management, to resource estimation, mine design, planning and production control. Previously she worked as a Business Consultant for EDII (Electronic Data Interchange Indonesia) and Telkom International.

She’s a Telecommunication Engineering graduate with full scholarship from the Indonesian Ministry of Higher Education and really passionate in digital technologies. During her time in college, she did a deep research on Power Line Communication and Interference Reduction in Telecommunication Frequency where she took a part in improving Indonesian telecommunication network quality.

Sekar is currently Vice President of AIYA (Australia-Indonesia Youth Association) Jakarta and was representing Indonesia for a student exchange program in Japan

Yohendro Kliwandono

Web and Design Officer

Born in Jakarta, Yohendro reside in Sydney to complete his secondary school at Canterbury Boys High School. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Creative Media, he also holds a Diploma of International Business, and Advanced Diploma of Advertising and Multimedia.

Yohendro currently works for Liberal Party of Australia, he has been involved in a number of successful campaign for Federal and NSW State Election. He has been volunteering for AIYA NSW as the Media and Marketing Manager for 2 years.

In 2013, Yohendro started his own agency named Arcwiremedia, since then he produced brands, advertising concepts and digital products for organisations in Indonesia and Australia. He sees digital technology as a platform to connect people-to-people between Australia and Indonesia.

Andrew Akib

Technology Officer

An entrepreneur at heart, Andrew is passionate about bringing ideas to life through arts & technology. Raised in Australia but of Indonesian heritage, Andrew has experienced first-hand the richness in diversities that a collaboration between Australian and Indonesian youth unveils. Having worked in Technology roles in Australia & Indonesia, Andrew believes that communications technology & arts will play a pivotal role in closing cultural & economic gaps between the two nations.

Andrew currently works as a Management Consultant for Accenture Digital, specializing in addressing the Media & Entertainment landscape through digital technology.

David Scholefield

Events and Logistics Officer

David is a current undergrad student of Asian studies Indonesian specialist at murdoch university, Perth WA, minoring in anthropology and biomedical science. He is also the chapter secretary of AIYA WA for 2016 and hopes to play a part, however small, in strengthening and bettering the relationship between Indonesia and Australia.

David’s areas of study have allowed him to explore many fields of sciences both social and biological and he am deeply interested in environmental sustainability, indigenous rights and animal welfare.

Gabriel Mukuan

Partnerships Officer

Gabriel is an Indonesian lawyer who focuses on representing corporations and individuals in complex commercial and corporate matters including shareholder derivatives, arbitration and commercial and transactional litigations. He is a former Associate at one of Indonesia’s top litigation firms and is currently pursuing to establish his own firm.

He was a member of the Indonesian delegation in the Asean Law Association General Assembly, a former member of the American Bar Association and is currently the Indonesia Country Captain for Cornell International Lawyers Network. As an awardee in the Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition he continues to coach several universities to compete in law moot court competitions.

Gabriel’s relationship with Australia started when he spent one year of his primary school in Adelaide. He then completed in high school in Brisbane, became a School Captain and received an award from a member of the Australian Parliament for excellence in leadership. He rekindled his tie to Australia when he joined CAUSINDY in 2015.

Gabriel received a Bachelor of Law from Universitas Negeri Manado and completed his Master of Laws at Cornell Law School.

Tom Coulter

Head of Grants Program

Tom is the Business Development Manager and a Strategic Operations Adviser for Cardno Emerging Markets in Indonesia. In this role, Tom provides financial management and strategic oversight for a number of International Development projects for clients such as DFAT and the Millennium Challenge Corporation as well providing business development management and operational advice to the Indonesia office.

Tom previously spent two years as the principal of a strategic business consultancy firm which operated predominantly within the Australian and Indonesian markets, facilitating market entry for foreign clients into both Indonesia and Australia. Tom’s professional background also includes work in the legal and banking sectors within Australia.

In addition to his work in the private sector, Tom has also sat on the board of a number of not for profit organisations, including as the Junior Vice President of the Indonesia Institute, a non-government think-tank and advocacy organisation based in Perth, Western Australia and also as the Vice President of the Australian Indonesian Youth Association (WA). Tom is also a former Divisional President of the Liberal Party of Western Australia (WAULS).

Tom has appeared in the Australian media on a number of occasions providing commentary on the Australia-Indonesia bilateral relationship.

Tom was a delegate to CAUSINDY in 2014 and a Conference Director in 2015.

Kristi Ardiana

Kristi is a third year undergraduate student at Universitas Indonesia, majoring in law. She currently serves as the president of English Debating Society Universitas Indonesia. As early as her freshman year, Kristi has been active in leadership and youth empowerment activities. She’s also interning at United Nation Development Program at the moment.

This is going to be her first time experience joining CAUSINDY team, which makes her so excited to learn new things about Indonesia-Australia bilateral relationship and she is looking forward to contribute to further developing ties between Australia-Indonesia through CAUSINDY.

Clancy O’Donnell

Clancy has a history of living and studying in Indonesia and currently lives in Darwin working as an Associate to Bespoke Territory, a strategic corporate advisory firm. Clancy’s background is in law and language studies and is passionate about the bilateral relationship having previously studied for a year in Indonesia, and acted on various committees including AIYA (South Australia) and now the Australia Indonesia Business Council (Northern Territory). Clancy’s involvement in CAUSINDY came about during the 2015 conference in Darwin and he is looking forward to further developing ties between Australia and Indonesia as part of CAUSINDY 2016.
